Hamstring Strain Rehab

It is vitally important to ensure that you fully rehabilitate this injury before you complete a full return to sport as the reoccurrence rate can be up to 63%, of which the highest chance is in the first 4 weeks of activity.

Rehab Plans

Early Stage - This stage is where you firstly want to rest for around 48 hrs, look at icing the muscle and start on the exercises below to help being restoring muscle and flexibility to the affected area.

Early stage exercises

Later Stage - This is where we can start focussing on loading the hamstrings again to build up the strength you are going to need! It should be at this point where you book a massage to help with the flexibility.
